New Stoneware Pendants What are all those brown specks?

Thistle Pendant created from speckled stoneware ceramic clay.  It was by opportunity that I applied this speckled clay to make some pendants and toggle clasps with.  In simple fact I did not even seriously know that it was speckled.  When I opened the kiln and obtained these items out I thought that they seemed darker than typical.   When I seemed more closely I observed the dark specks.  At very first I was not guaranteed if I preferred them.  That form of uncertainty when just one initially opens the kiln is not unusual.  It requires some very good daylight and time to absolutely see what you have given that anticipations definitely do colour your vision at first.  I was not expecting the speckles so what  I was viewing was these items as they need to have been and was a bit unhappy. A couple of hrs later on I experienced modified my intellect.  I could see  how beautifully the dark specks were interacting with the other hues in the pendants. I made the decision they ended up terrific–they reminded me of raku perform that has experienced sawdust thrown on it. So I outlined all of these in my Etsy shop.  It a couple of times they ended up all Bought apart from for the Wild Grass Pendants.
